Riverside B&B sits in a quiet corner of Tean, tucked away from the main roads, with the front of the house overlooking a river and rolling countryside — home to a family of ducks who potter along the bank. It's one of the prettiest views you'll find in a B&B this close to Alton Towers (just 6.6 miles away). We're also handy for Uttoxeter Racecourse, JCB, The Potteries, and the Peak District National Park, which is around 20 minutes' drive.

There are two comfortable en-suite rooms to choose from: The Riverside Room — a flexible zip-link bed that converts between a super king or two singles (just let us know your preference when you book), with under-bed suitcase storage, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, Freeview TV, and tea/coffee-making facilities. And The Double Room — a comfortable en-suite double, ideal for couples.

Both rooms come with bath towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and a powerful shower. You'll have your own front door and room key, and Paula will always try to greet you in person and show you around.

Breakfast is a generous help-yourself spread: cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, breakfast bars, pain au chocolat, juice, tea and coffee, and usually a loaf of home-made soda bread. You're welcome to use the kitchen and dining area during the day (until 10pm), relax in the guest lounge, and enjoy the garden or the front balcony — a lovely spot to sit with a drink and watch the river and fields.

Practical extras: three private parking spaces plus visitor parking (all free), a 7kW EV Type 2 charger, and Faster Fibre WiFi at 70Mb.
